Both me and my 6 month old love this seat!!! He can face forward and see out the windows… I was weary at first because he was so young and facing forward but this seat is very sturdy and well made. It is absolutely the best seat that I read reviews on. The only con that I have to complain about is that it’s very heavy, but I know that it is made well. As long as you don’t have to move it from car to car, it will be ok.

We bought this “convertible” car seat for Christmas, for our 6 month old grandson. Grandchildren seem to grow much faster than our own children. Both parents tell us he “rides much better, being able to stretch out more and still be safe.” The cost was perfect, the car seat rated excellent, and Amazondotcom once again passes those special tests of reliability, value, and proving they are the epitome of internet retailers.

I bought this car seat since the Britax Frontier received poor reviews for installation. This Graco Nautilus car seat gets the job done and the price is right. My biggest problem is that the head portion does not recline at all and it is not a chair for a child to sleep in. If you have a Britax Roundabout or Britax Marathon you know how easy it is for a child to sleep in it. My child’s head flops forward if she happens to fall asleep in the Graco Nautilus.

I took my almost 3-year-old to Target to try this seat out. The crotch strap would not budge, and the whole seat was very flimsy with tons of straps. It looked so complicated, and I could not figure out how to adjust anything. Very cheap, “plasticy” feel to it. I ended up buying the Radian XT. The advantage here is it fits the 5 pt. harness to 80 lbs. It’s made of steel and is very heavy, but we’ll install it once and then be happy our little guy is safe.

I read many reviews on many car seats and chose this one. I am happy with the price, convenience and safety of the seat. The only problem I have with it is that my grandson falls asleep and the “recline” isn’t much of anything. It still sits up so straight that he hangs his head forward and rests his chin on his chest. I switch it between my car and his mom’s car with ease. It is lightweight and very easy to hookup. Much easier than his infant seat was. The adjustable straps for the LATCH system are extremely easy to use. We also connect the seat belt through the back as added protection. It glides easily through the padding. It was easy to “assemble”. The cup holder and cup holes are convenient enough for him to reach even at the age of one. It holds a slippy cup or bottle without them falling out with the first bump. If I decide we need 2 car seats, I think I’ll buy this one again.
